Sonoma County Harvest Fair
Mark your calendars for the 2008 Sonoma County Harvest Fair, the region's premier wine event, October 3 - 5
Awards Night will be Saturday September 27, tickets go on-sale August 13.
Please check back in August for information on the Fair.
Over 1000 wines competed for top honors in the wine competition -- judged this year by a panel of internationally reknown wine experts representing three continents. We showcased our homegrown organic fruits and vegetables in the dozens of food competitions. People learned about the wine industry in seminars conducted by local wine experts. Mother-Daughter grape stompers Tamara and Ashleigh Dunn became the first all-female team to win the World Famous Grape Stomping competition. Carl Lawson, An 84 year-old pumpkin grower, brought in a 1027 lb. speciman to take home top honors. Apple displays, jams, pies, crafts and fine art showcased Sonoma County residents' talents.
But most of all, thousands of people came from all over just to enjoy the company, sounds, tastes and smells -- the Fall Sensations -- of Sonoma County.
