Open to Residents of Anywhere in the World
This is your chance to take part in the ultimate athletic event! You and your partner can stomp grapes in front of a cheering crowd and, if you make it all the way to the Finals, become the World Champion Grape Stomp Team. The World Champs will win four tickets to any Southwest Airlines destination and $1,000.
Saturday, October 4 - 12, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Sunday, October 5 - 12, 1, 2, 3, 5
Teams of two (one stomper & one swabby) compete in the hope of being named the world's greatest grape stomp team. Team T-shirts and costumes are encouraged; a special award for creative costuming is given in each stomp.
Winners from stomps around the country (and the world) travel to the Sonoma County Harvest Fair to compete for the World Championship title. If you are sending a team from your stomp, let us know! We want to make sure your team and your event get special recognition.
Stomp teams come in all sizes and ages. There is one stomp reserved for teams ages 13 & under -- Sunday Oct. 5 at 2 p.m. [$30 per team]. Teams of kids, (or adults and kids) can stomp in any of the qualifying stomps scheduled throughout the weekend.
Pre-Fair registration for the Grape Stomp is preferred, but some on-the-spot sign-ups are taken.
